Parioli Pockets is a personal journey inside Parioli, the richest neighborhood in Rome, Italy. Zoos, parties and lonely streets at night become a jungle where it’s not possible to see at which point the outer ends and the inner world of the author begins. There is something old and spectral in the air, a spell of comfort and laziness which is best to be resisted. Alessandra Book’s project introduces us into her own attempt to escape from an accommodating life in order to find her home one day.
Alessandra Book is a photographer whose works are often based on the relationship between the territories and the people living them. She studied Photography and Visual Arts at the European Institute of Design in Rome and now she is currently studying History of Art at Sapienza.
